This is a repository for my personal portfolio.
Hello! I’m a Geography PhD student in the Joint Doctoral Program between San Diego State University and University of California, Santa Barbara. My research focuses on multi-sensor remote sensing of wildland fire in Mediterranean California foothills and wildland urban interfaces (WUIs), leveraging VSWIR imaging spectroscopy, multispectral TIR, and LiDAR collected through the NASA FireSense Project and EMIT and ECOSTRESS missions.
Supporting early-career research education is core to my values. For the last two summers, I have served as the student mentor for the land research group in the NASA Student Airborne Research Program. Previously I served as the NASA Education Resource Specialist for NASA’s Climate Change Research Initiative, exploring innovative approaches to integrating NASA’s Earth and climate science into the classroom. These opportunities are important to me, as my path to science started in community college with the NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars Program.
